This report presents the methods of sterilization suitable for polypropylene (PP) containing Vistamaxx™ propylene-based elastomer as a blend partner focusing on sterilization by gamma irradiation. There are a number of technologies employed in the sterilization of PP based molded articles. The most commonly employed techniques are gamma irradiation, steam autoclave and ethylene oxide gas (EtO).
